School Age Child Care

Our School Age Child Care programs are registered with the New York State Department of Social Services and are a contracted provider for DSS funding for child care.  Programs maintain a 1:10 staff to child ratio, and all staff are carefully screened and trained.

All of the YMCA Child Care programs provide opportunities for your child to develop their spirit, mind & body through activities that include core values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.

A highlight of our program is incorporating physical activity and health messages for your children to impact their health and well-being not only in our care, but outside of our programs.  The name of the program, which incorporates healthy behaviors adopted by the YMCA of Greater Rochester, is called CATCH.  CATCH stands for Coordinated Approach To Child Health.  CATCH helps to build our core values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility through regular physical activity along with take-home health messages.  CATCH, along with all the other activities incorporated in the child care program, will help to make your child a healthier and happier individual, working on their social, intellectual, emotional and physical development.  We thank you for considering the Maplewood YMCA child care program and we look forward to enriching your child's life in a positive way.

Our AM care runs from 7:00am until the start of the school day.  The after school programs take place from school dismissal time until 6:00pm.  Activities include homework time, arts & crafts, special projects, outdoor play, active games, and a daily snack (afternoon only).  Contact the Member Service Center at Maplewood or your school district for transportation qualification.
